Happy half-birthday, little man

Six months ago today Everett was born. It was by far the best labor of the three - he came out in one minute and one push. I honestly felt like I'd just been shopping at Target or something, not that I had actually been through labor and delivery. When they laid him on my chest, it was a little strange, almost a let-down. I mean, I hadn't even really had to work to get him out. It was just too easy.

It sounds corny, but he is just an amazing little baby. Maybe moreso because I know exactly what I have in store for me, which makes me treasure his "littleness" even more. Tonight I sat here and kissed his little face over and over, and he just grinned and laughed, and eventually just shut his eyes and cuddled up into my neck.

One day he'll throw a tantrum and he'll fight with his brothers. But for now he is six months old and still all mine.

I've enjoyed every minute of being your mommy, little man. (Okay, except for the part where you pooped on me this morning. I could have done without that. But the rest has been really awesome.)
