and to all, a good night

Tis the season.

After staying up until 2:00 to wrap, wrap, and wrap some more, Christmas started with a bang with Gray throwing up. We (or shall I say, Mark) managed to get him back into bed only to have Miller wake us up with a cheerful, "Good morning! It's a brand new day!" I think we were pretty lucky to make it till almost 7:30 before having to get up and function.

Miller has been MIA all day, holed up somewhere with his new Furby and his Gameboy. Gray has been sick most of the day, but has seemed to enjoy his loot. Everett, obviously, is clueless but happy. He was the star of the show today, with his bubbly personality wooing his grandparents. I was a disaster this morning, as Mark put it, "barking orders" at everyone to get the house ready for company. The all-appetizer dinner was a hit, and I might explode if I eat one more stuffed mushroom or creme puff.

I wanted to include a picture of my nephew Porter. Porter has had a tough year... both my brother and his ex-wife got re-married, and his mom has a new baby on the way. He seemed a little sad today, but he is one of the sweetest kids I know.

sleepy baby, wiped out from the Christmas festivities...
