migraine-o-rama

The only times in my life I haven't been plagued with migraines were pregnancy. Of course, I had other ailments then, including some really attractive ankles, but it was SO NICE to not have constant headaches. My mom says that she remembers me being about two years old, standing on the couch between her and my dad, and complaining of "eyebrow aches." So by my math, I've been having migraines for at least the last 30 years. They wear me out, and this week has been full of them. I think I had one day without one the entire week. It's about enough to make me want to get pregnant again:-)

It was a busy week. Monday was "Sign Language Extravaganza" in Gray's preschool class. Oh, it was cute. Eleven of the twelve kids stood up there doing their little signs. And one little particularly shy little boy stood there with his hands in his mouth, smiling. (Wanna guess which little boy that was?) We followed that with an all-afternoon playdate with Gray's preschool classmates.

I took candid shots at Gray's preschool all Tuesday morning for their new website. It was so fun to see all of the great things going on in that school. I managed to photograph eleven classes - on the playground, in fitness, making paper, making Mother's Day cards, playing at the water table, and two kids having birthdays. On Wednesday I took pictures of my friend Jana's totally cute small preschool. They have a garden and chickens and it seems like utopia for kids. (One little girl, who remembered me from when I was there doing the same thing last May, said "I KNEW you would have had your baby by now!" Pretty impressive memory for a 4 year old. Of course, I was about 37 weeks pregnant when I did pictures there last year and I'm sure it was a memorable sight, especially considering the poses I contorted myself into, even with a huge belly.)

Today is the Strawberry Festival at Miller's school. I'm painting faces at 11. Tomorrow I have a few sessions that are sure to be rained out, if the weather forecast is even halfway accurate. And another busy week coming up after that. I'm counting down the days till vacation. It can't get here soon enough!
