raleigh raleigh

Today we went to Raleigh Raleigh. Or at least that is what Gray calls it. I'm almost sure "Raleigh Raleigh" is actually just Pullen Park. But he's 3 and it is cute, so we didn't correct him:-)

We started our day at Pullen Park with Miller in a foul mood. We were boring him, and apparently I was a huge embarrassment with my camera. Seven is the new thirteen.

After the park, we went to eat lunch and then to the NC Museum of Natural History. Wow. I had never been there, and it was amazing. Mark usually takes the boys to do the fun stuff without me to give me a break to work, but today I NEEDED some family time. And it was never more glaringly obvious than when I got in the car and Miller said, "Mom is coming with us?" Kind of pathetic.

The capitol building is right across from the museum, so we walked over and checked out the statues for awhile before heading home.

This picture is so fitting for my little train-a-holic.

He ruined a brand new pair of shorts doing this, but how could I NOT get a picture of him sitting on the train tracks?

Surrounded by my boys. I can't believe how tall Miller is getting. I bet he'll be as tall as I am in just a few years...

I want to bottle this and keep him this little forever

If you look closely, you can see him giggling in the reflection of my glasses

He got his teeth from me. Orthodontist, here we come!

Delightful. Check out the expression on Miller's face as he puts his 3 year old brother in a headlock. (Much crying followed this)

And a looks-nice-but-is-really-mean hug followed just a minute later...

Watching the paddle boats

With Andy and Opie Taylor. Makes you want to whistle the "Andy Griffith Show" theme song, huh?

The museum... a whale skeleton is hanging behind Miller

Peering out over the exhibits from the 4th floor. Love their body language in these...

On the statues of the presidents

Click on this picture and read the sign at the bottom of the monument. We're such rule breakers! YEAH!

Heading home in his cool faux-cow carseat

What I saw going on in the back seat. They're such nuts.
