cute little dimples on fat little hands

I love fat little baby hands. I love how they are dimpled at the knuckles, and how it looks like there is always a rubber band around their chunky little wrists.

Babies amaze me. Every day I'm sad I won't have another baby. EVERY day. Mark thinks I'm silly. He doesn't "get" babies, he says. He likes them when they can "do stuff." I think it is awfully fun when they can't really do much of anything except sit there and be the recipients of cuddling and kissing. They aren't running off to watch Cartoon Network or play basketball in the house or drive their Thomas trains across the hardwood floor. They're just there. There to be loved and spoiled and dressed in outfits with ears. Oh, and sniffed, too. Because there is nothing in this world quite as nice as a freshly bathed baby:-)
