It's 7:30 and all of the kids are in bed...

So I just took the baby upstairs to his room, and I heard a hushed "mom!" coming from Miller and Gray's room. I quickly put Everett down before he woke up and went to see what Miller needed.

"Mom, I'm scared."

"Scared of what, buddy?"

"Alien abductions"

"Uh, Miller, we are right at the bottom of the stairs. I could be up here in 2 seconds."

"Yeah, but they can come and get you out of the door faster than 2 seconds."

You know, there is really no arguing with that. But no more National Geographic specials for that kid. Between that, and the two hour documentary on Hell (also courtesy of National Geographic) that he watched a few months ago, there is really not a whole lot the child doesn't know.
