if you give a kid a camera
Today Gray was playing (surprisingly nicely) on the floor next to me while I emailed some clients back, and he went to the shelf where my Rebel was sitting. He took it down, looked it over for a few minutes, and told me that he wanted to take pictures of me. Since he'd never shown a bit of interest in taking pictures before, I jumped on the opportunity. I put in a fresh battery and new compact flash card, and out we went.I love his little perspective. For the most part, these are cropped like he took them. What surprised me the most is that they were in focus. After he took each one, he'd giggle and look at the LCD on the back of the camera. At three, he can barely handle the camera with a battery grip, which made me even more surprised that any of them at all were in focus.
After a few minutes, Miller decided to get in on the deal, and he took the last one of me and Gray jumping. Having three cameras - one of which is my back-up to my back-up - is a good thing. Means we can do things like this without me freaking out about them breaking my equipment. And lord knows I don't need one more thing to freak out over:-)
