when life gives you lemons...

I debated on whether or not to post this on my blog, but then realized that sooner or later it would come up. So I'll talk a bit about it.

Mark lost his job on Thursday. Basically, he was screwed. After 12 years at the same company. It infuriates me to think about it, but I can sit here and be pissed off, or I can figure out what in the world we're going to do.

So, after talking about it, we've decided that Mark is going to take a few months off and be a stay-at-home-dad, and I'll support us. Crazy, I know. This would have devastated us a few years ago. But luckily my business is (knock on wood) going well, we're not in debt, we're a few months ahead on our mortgage, so we'll make it. We have to make it... there just really isn't a choice. And I'll take this opportunity to book lots and lots of sessions and not have to worry about working around Mark's crazy schedule.

Sometimes life throws you a curve ball. We still have to figure out what we'll do about health insurance for a family of five. But in the meantime, we're making lemonade:-)
