sink or swim

Yesterday I did something slightly terrifying and totally exciting. I signed a lease for some space I'm going to use as a design studio. I've been hunting for about a year for that *perfect* space, and a few weeks ago this one presented itself. I'm renting 800 square feet of a 5,000 square foot house. It is totally adorable and I can't wait. So far I've purchased a new desk, some red living room furniture, a cool shag rug, and a brand spankin' new Macbook. I'll spend all of February decorating and hanging prints (the prints I haven't had printed or even chosen yet)... luckily February is usually my slowest month, so this couldn't be happening at a better time. I even put on my big girl panties and incorporated my business.

I'll be using my new digs as a place to hang large prints, show albums, cards, etc., and have clients pick up their orders. Oh, and a quiet place to return calls without three kids re-enacting Wrestlemania in the background. It is all part of my master plan to try to separate my work from my personal life.

And did I mention it has a pool? It does.
