looking at this makes me smile
You know how it is before someone comes to visit... you want the house to look all sparkly and perfect. Mine is never sparkly and perfect, but a girl can always hope:-)We had the interior of our house painted a few months ago and have been total slackers about putting stuff back on the walls. We used to have cool wall shelves above the sofa, but we practically had to go into marriage counseling just from putting them up, so Mark vetoed re-hanging them. I decided to do a little wall gallery instead.
I picked six 11x14's from this year (believe me, when you take tens of thousands of pictures of your children every year, picking SIX is nearly impossible), bought some cute wood frames that matched our living room, and relatively little cussing and some precise mathematical measurements later, voila! A cute wall gallery. I love it. It seems like most of my clients are 5x7 people, and they really don't know what they are missing... wall portraits (and these aren't even big ones) have so much more oomph.
On a side note, Jane went home today and it seems extra gloomy around here. I got separated from everyone else the other day in A Southern Season and all I had to do was follow the sound of her laughter and found them all immediately:-) So cute.
