future sports announcer

Sometime this summer, Miller became obsessed with sports. I don't know how it happened... it crept past me slowly without warning, and before I knew it, he was sneaking out at 7:30 in the morning to get the newspaper - the SPORTS SECTION - from the driveway.

As a self-proclaimed sports hater*, I have to say that the background noise of ESPN is like fingernails in a chalkboard for me. Miller is an equal-opportunity sports lover, and has accumulated a ridiculous amount of sports trivia and stats in that little blonde head of his. He likes to torture me by asking me random sports facts. He knows this drives me insane, especially this time of year when there is little room left in my brain for anything other than basic survival and my work.

I took these last weekend during a father-son game of catch. As much as I hate to admit it, the kid has a good arm on him. The football shirt was merely a coincidence. Really.

If I let his hair get any longer, he is going to look like Dorothy Hamill.
