missing in action
Yes, I know. This is the absolute longest I've ever gone without updating my blog, and I hate it.
San Francisco was great. I'll add some pictures soon. We spent the weekend chatting and eating and shopping and sightseeing and laughing. Even the plane ride was completely non-traumatic... I'm even keeping open the possiblility of flying again soon. I needed the break. Even though I came back to an absolute mountain of work, I needed the break. San Francisco is a beautiful city, and the retail therapy worked wonders.
So since I'm talking about retail therapy, I have to put in a few plugs for some new things I'm loving right now:
1) Bare Escentuals make-up. Um, where has this stuff been all of my life!? I absolutely LOVE it... my skin looks so radiant and... radiant!
2) We visited the new Forth & Towne store in SF... aka: Gap for Grown-up Girls. I got the most scrumptious gray cardigan that is definitely my new favorite.
3) These jeans from Banana Republic. So comfy, so worn-in. (And, they're ON SALE - bonus!)
But other than that, I'm literally buried in work. I spent about 10 hours today at my computer, proofing sessions. Tomorrow the lady from the health dept. comes in the morning to help keep me on track with getting all of Gray's services coordinated. This past Tuesday the school system evaluated him, and in a few weeks they'll let me know the results and what kinds of therapy they'll be providing for him. Miller's teacher is gone for good and he has a new one - the story there is long and sordid and makes me want to vomit. My waiting list for Christmas pictures is about 30 people long.
I'm tired.
But I'll try to update soon:-)
Oh, and the pictures here were taken this week. Everett is still almost completely bald. As nearly 17 months, he has almost no hair. But the hair he does have is pretty blonde. Mark's Scandinavian genes in action again:-)

I'm so glad you like the makeup. I would have felt horrible if you hadn't. If you and I can both wear the same kind of makeup, as different as our skin types are, you know it is good stuff!
You got the jeans in a double zero, right? Banana is the only place I can find double zeros that are really small enought to fit my rear.
Hey Gretchen , email me and let me know how things go. Last we talked, you asked a few questions, but I haven't heard back from you!!
