a welcome guest

We are lucky to have Mark's sister Jane visiting us this week. I'm mostly done with my client work (yes, only *mostly* and it is December 19th. Argh.) and so I actually got to take a few pictures of my own kids today. Fancy that.

I never had a sister, so it was a treat to marry someone who not only had sisters, but had sisters who are great. Both Jane and Mark's other sister, Linda, have infectious laughs, and are just wonderful people to spend time with. The boys are excited to have a captive audience, especially with someone as patient and loving as Jane, someone who will give piggyback rides and will let them eat brownies. When I went in to make sure that Miller and Gray were in bed tonight, I walked in the room to see them both in the Aerobed (as deluxe as you're going to get at our too-small house) with her, covers pulled up, smiles on their faces and ready to go to sleep. She has a magnetic personality like that.

(Oh, and Miller looks like he belongs to Jane much more than he does to me. They are hair twins.)
