closed!
Yee haw, here's to having just one mortgage! We closed on our old house on April 15th. April 15th ended up being a crazy day... I photographed a birth (and got calls all night long with updates so I hardly got a wink of sleep, and then she ended up having a c-section at 11:00 a.m.), we finished up our taxes (this year we could have bought a nice new car IN CASH with what we paid, not kidding), and we finalized the deal on our house. Whew! That was in addition to all of the other, regular stuff like getting the kids to school and making sure they were fed and bathed.
So I am not thrilled with how the whole house-selling thing went down, but I guess what is most important is that is is a done deal. We only have one mortgage... a huge relief for me. That combined with having only one kid in preschool next year and recently switching our health insurance to one that has a monthly premium not equivalent to a 3rd mortgage (just half of a 3rd mortgage:-) means we are going to be RICH! Ha ha ha. Not really, but it sure feels like it.
Mark and I have been in a funk for at least 6 months and I am really ready for a step back into normalcy.
Here are a few pictures of Everett I snapped at a birthday party last weekend. The way his hair curls over his ears here makes my heart go pitter-pat.
