I must admit, I buy my kids' clothes with pictures in mind. We don't do character t-shirts or sweatpants at this house. No light up shoes with Buzz Lightyear or Pokemon on the sides. (Yes, I realize this is one of my quirks. Not everyone is a freak about what their kids wear.)
