happiness is....
A clean(ish) house and glass of wine.
After today's session, I came home, cranked up the music, and started cleaning. Since Everett's arrival, my house just has not met my cleanliness standards. I'm a neat freak trapped in a disorganized person's body. It drives me crazy. Really. My house is never *quite* clean enough for me.... which really shouldn't be surprising since I have three little boys, a husband, a dog, and two indoor/outdoor cats to keep up with.
So today, I took FIVE hours and cleaned. Ahhh. My head feels so much more clear.
And on a side note, wish us luck. Tomorrow we will be spending the day at UNC Hospitals. A few months ago, I was looking in Gray's mouth and noticed his uvula hung down in two parts. (Yes, freaky, I know.) I mentioned it to a friend who is a speech therapist (and recently evaluated him... another post completely) and we are seeing a pediatric ENT tomorrow. What he has is called a "bifid uvula" and sometimes is accompanied by a variety of other problems, including issues with the palate. Our appointment tomorrow will be several hours long and may require sedating him... all with Everett in tow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that surgery won't be required. We do know for sure that Gray will require speech and perhaps occupational therapy this year.
I'll update soon:-)

G couldn't have asked for better parents to take care of him. On a side note, I will provde the wine if you want to come and clean my house. Just imagine how clear your head would be then!
Best of luck to you and Mr. G! I hope you come away with some answers that have solutions that are more on the simple side! HUGS!
