my little puppy

This was pet week in Gray's class, and today was the day that they all were to come dressed as their pet of choice. Being the unprepared slackers that we are, we waited around until last night to figure it out (it was supposed to be homemade) and realized we didn't have the supplies for it.

I heard Mark in the shower at 5:30 this morning, and when I asked what in the world he was doing, he reminded me that we needed to make a costume for Gray. An hour later he was back with felt, fake fur, eyeliner pencil (for the nose) and some velcro. At 6:30 in the morning.

While he got the kids ready, I cut out some ears, attached them to his hat, and cut out a fake tail out of the fur. We found a tag of Sally's that we've never gotten around to putting on her, attached it with ribbon, and voila! a collar.

Seriously, are we a team or WHAT?

Adorable! You pulled together one awesome costume. That would of been me trying to pull it all together the morning of too...except I would have to depend on a 24 hour gas station to get my supplies because there is sure as hell nothing else open at 6:00 AM around these parts. :-)

That is too cute! Man, and you know that you are going to have a great Mother's Day too, because, M rocks that kind of stuff. (unless you're working. PLEASE tell me you're not working!) G looks so happy! Don't you just want to bottle it up?

Wal-Mart - that is where he found everything. We avoid that store like the plague, but it sure did come in handy for dress-like-a-pet day!

Not to mention, it was the Wal-Mart that he won't even let me go to unaccompanied... it is that scary. That is true dad dedication, I tell ya!
