welcome summer

It went from a relatively cool spring to SCORCHING hot this week. Everett feels the need to be outside every waking moment and has figured out how to let himself out the door. How nice. He is utterly obsessed with the garden hose, claiming complete ownership of it... we're going through several outfits a day because one inevitably one ends up drenched.

Sunday was Mark's birthday, and we got to go on a REAL date. We ate real grown-up food in a restaurant without a kid's menu. Priceless, I tell you.

I'm way behind on proofing and have no business updating my blog, but it has been two weeks. Pathetic! I have actually taken quite a few pictures of my own kids the last few weeks, so I have plenty to share.

And finally, a funny little story that happened while Gray and I were at Target last week. We were in the parking lot, and he said oh-so-matter-of-factly, "Mommy, you have little boobs."

Me: (and anyone who knows me can stop laughing, since we all know my boobs could never be classified as little or even close) "Oh really? Well, do you know anyone who has big boobs?"

Gray: (thinking for a few seconds)... "Um, big mommies."

By default, that makes me a little mommy.

Right answer, honey. Right answer.

Mark and I had a good laugh over this last one. Gray is totally relishing the fact that he has control of the hose while his little brother screams his little head off.
